Safeguarding Ghana’s Infrastructure Through Collaborative Expertise

The Engineering Council, in collaboration with key national institutions, established the Built Environment Advisory Group (BEAG) to proactively address engineering infrastructure disasters. This multidisciplinary coalition develops frameworks for disaster prevention, management, and forensic investigation, ensuring Ghana’s infrastructure meets the highest safety and resilience standards.

The Group performs the following functions:

Coordinate Expertise

Coordinate engineers, agencies, and policymakers to advise on infrastructure safety

Set Disaster Guidelines

Develop protocols for infrastructure disaster management and forensic audits.

Public Awareness

Educate and inform the public on disaster prevention and response
