HOW TO GET LICENSED

WHY GET LICENSED BY THE ENGINEERING COUNCIL?

Certificate of Registration as a Professional Association for Engineering Practitioners from the Registrar General Department

Evidence of being in operation for a minimum of five years

Evidence of audited accounts for a minimum of five years

Evidence of a fixed registered office for the operation applicant

Evidence of a governing body comprising members who are registered by the Council

Evidence of well established and approved programmes by the Council for continuous professional development for all class members of the Council

Demonstration of the ability to uphold and enforce professional standards, conducts and ethics

Evidence of a secured database for members

Evidence of a minimum number of memberships of one thousand members who are in good standing for the preceding three years

Evidence that the membership consists of at least two categories of engineering practitioners as specified in the Engineering Council Act and that at least ten percent are in good standing
