Ing. Ebenezer Kwesi Haizel, Esq. is a proactive independent, self-starting individual, with a good sense of initiative and peculiar leadership qualities, having occupied various leadership positions. He is an enthusiastic team player whose involvement in many projects sets me apart for productivity having learned the team success strategy. One with thoroughly built interpersonal skills that manifest themselves in the peculiar roles played in leadership. A thoroughly trained and experienced engineer and lawyer, he is a team leader with an eye for detail.

Ing. Ebenezer Kwesi Haizel, Esq is a Ghanaian Professional Engineer and lawyer with professional qualifications in both fields. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from KNUST (1978), a Barrister-at-Law qualification from the Ghana Law School (1995), and a Master of Laws (LLM Energy Law) from UGSoL (2024).

Ing. Haizel has previously served on the Third Governing Board and currently serves on the Fourth Governing Board of the Engineering Council as a member and chairperson of the Council’s Disciplinary, Legal and Ethics Committee. His professional memberships include the Ghana Bar Association (Senior Member since 1994) and Ghana Institution of Engineering (Fellow since 1984).

With extensive industry experience, Ing. Haizel worked in Shell Ghana from 1997-2015 in various management roles including Cluster Manager for Retail Network Planning & Property Management. Earlier in his career (1978-1997), he held engineering positions at VALCO and GHANAL in aluminium production.

He serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at KNUST, teaching Engineering Law & Ethics, and at Trinity Theological Seminary where he teaches Law for Pastoral Ministry. His career combines technical engineering expertise with legal practice and academic instruction.

As a longstanding member of the Engineering Council’s governing boards and chair of its Disciplinary Committee, Ing. Haizel contributes his dual qualifications in engineering and law to the regulation of Ghana’s engineering profession.
