In line with the provisions contained in section 4 (2) of the Engineering Council Act, 2011 (Act 819), the Council is governed by a nine (9) member Board. The first (1^st) Governing Board of the Council was inaugurated by the President, in accordance with Article 70 of the 1992 Constitution on 24^th April 2015 and the second Governing Board was inaugurated on 16^th August, 2019. Currently, the third Governing Board which was sworn into office on 4th November 2021 is in place.
